Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy
At KSD, Occupational therapy (OT) and physical therapy (PT) services are provided to support students' development in fine and gross motor skills, life skills, and self-regulation skills that directly impact their level of participation to access and succeed in the school environment. When a referral is made, we offer a comprehensive evaluation that may include standardized assessments or formal observations and recommendations. Students may receive direct or consultative services based on the child's needs. The areas that we address are: locomotion, transitions, balance, coordination, ball skills, handwriting, cutting, sensory processing, visual perceptual skills. If you have any questions or concerns related to those skills with your student or child's that are affecting their participation during school activities, please do not hesitate to contact KSD.
